I made mistake and double ordered
I am interested in genealogy and found a site that offered newspapers etc. I placed an order for one year. I thought I had found another site and ordered from it also. It was supposed to be a trial period but I was charged immediately for one year subscription. When I seen the mistake I canceled the second order and wrote them explaining the mistake. I have yet to receive my refund and I'm upset over it. The company may not think $39.95 is a lot of money but I do and I want my refund. Description is misleading! Buyer beware!
I paid $20 to get an outdated phone record of a RELATIVE of the person I was trying to search for. They require a membership of at least 3 months ($19.95) to access their presumable fountain of knowledge and records about the person you want to look up. It advertised having marriage, divorce, judgement, etc records available to members, but what they don't tell you is that after you pay the membership fee, you have to pay at LEAST $30 more to learn any information aside from "possible relatives" among the list of people that meet your search's name. Very misleading. Very disappointing. Learned my lesson and am $20 poorer for it.
Take your money, don't return calls, lie to you.
I ordered a certified document from "Archives". Paid $88, icludes extra for Fed/X overnight. I have discovered the overnight means after 3-5 days processing (nowhere on site is this inf. given) but that is not true either. It's now been 7 business days. I have called repeatedly, either to be told lies ("went out yesterday", Fed/X # that doesn't exist) or sent to voicemail (whose message assures return calls in 15 mins, never got one). Ask for Supervisor, surprise, I got voicemail 5X, still waitng on call back. I became so desperate I requested the call where someone did answer to "promise" me she would call back with inf. Seems a little comical now. Still waiting on that call too. I emailed C.S. to cancel and refund, this should be fun. In summary, I'm "pissed". (love the site name).
